DESCRIPTION:
Antique porcelain hand painted  Pirkenhammer demitasse cup & saucer PAIR.  This lot consists of two cups and two saucers, each with hand painted scenes, perhaps related to an opera. These likely date to the late 19th century
We don't know if these were hand painted at the Pirkenhammer factory, or if they were painted in the city of Dresden by one of the many decorating companies located there that hand painted on blanks purchased from various European manufacturers like Pirkenhammer.
MARKS:
Overglaze green mark and hand painted number 3522.
CONDITION:
The cups are in very good to excellent antique condition
free from chips, cracks, damages, gold wear repairs or restorations.
The saucers are in very good condition with some very minor gold wear to the inner gold band (see photos).
MEASUREMENTS:
Maximum saucer diameter is about 4 3/8 inches. Each cup is 2 3/8 inches in diameter and about 2 1/4 inches tall.
