Antique Russian Necklace, Lg Natural Baltic Amber Walnuts Silver Fringe, 69.1 G

Description

This necklace is old and appears to have seen a lot of use; at the latest, it is from 1800's to 1920's. From one of the Baltic countries, it has 18 big oval nuggets of genuine, natural Baltic Amber the size of walnuts, interspersed with lengths of silver chain and little bunches of beaded-wire, silver fringe.  Length is about 37" and it can be worn as-is or doubled with the use of a necklace shortener. The beads are variable in color/translucency, which is only natural; but they mostly match; they are full of irregularities and some gouges, due to age.  Please scrutinize all pics, as they constitute a major part of the description.  Size of the beads is variable; see pic with the ruler.
This old necklace looks very "Boho" and "Ethnic", and because it is "classic", is a good investment.
Amber is also worn by many next to the skin for health benefits of its succinic acid.
