    For your consideration is a pair of rare and important antique Imperial Russian 56 Gold 14K, Ruby, Mother of Pearl Mens Cufflinks. Natural ruby set in mother of pearl base, embellished with gold accents. Beautifully hand-crafted. Fully original. Hallmarked for Imperial Russian Gold. Later rehallmarked 585 for 14K European gold, presumably during soviet period. Total weight is 8.65g. Diameter of mother of pearl circle is approximately 0.6" in diameter. Some wear to one cufflink, as pictured. Perhaps a natural defect in the mother of pearl, but we thought we'd mention it anyway. Wear consistent with age. A very rare and beautiful item indeed.
