Description
I just purchased this vintage Czech art pottery vase from a local estate here in Central Virginia. The vase / planter was produced by Ditmar-Urbach which was originally founded in Trnovany, Czechia (Turn-Teplitz, Bohemia / Austria) in 1882 (Bros Urbach). The piece has a striking Art Deco inspired geometric design with flared fluted panels over a gathered waist. The white earthenware ground features brightly hand painted florals with jet black accents. The piece measures 8" long, 5 ¼" high and 5" across the top rim. The base bears the pictured "Czechoslovakia" "Hand-painted" ink stamp and impressed production number "10930". The piece is in excellent condition with no damage, the interior appears unused and is super clean. This c. 1920's - 1930 vase would make a fun addition to your collection of vintage Ditmar-Urbach / Czech art pottery or Art Deco inspired décor.
