Giant fossil Pecten scallop shell found while searching for fossil Megalodon shark teeth.
Recovered from the (Pliocene) Yorktown Formation of an ancient seabed in North Carolina.
Some damage to the outer edge but the shell is solid and heavy. Nice shape. Good detail. Impressive
shell.
Measures 5.92" W.
