Case and front panel are in good condition - see photos

Option:
Battery (Batteries would not hold a charge, are unavailable and were removed).
Electrical Condition:
Working with leveled output across all ranges (1 Hz to 1 MHz)
Frequency set on low ranges by mechanically setting the dial
Frequency set at 1 MHz by a trimmer capacitor
Appears to work correctly as shown in photos -
sold as is - no returns only due
to age of the oscillator
Notes
: 1) Many of the HP 204C oscillators had the battery option.  This consisted
of four (4) - 6 Vdc rechargeable batteries in series which created +/- 12 Vdc with a
ground connection between batteries 2 & 3.
The batteries have been replaced with two 12 V zener diodes and filter
capacitors.   This produces the +/-  12 Vdc with < 10 mv ac ripple.  With bad or no
batteries the oscillator
will not
operate.  See 7th photo of rebuilt power supply

The
dc power supply is on anytime the oscillator is plugged in!

3)  For proper leveling of the output and full range of attenuation, the output
must be terminated in 600 ohms.
4)  Distortion accuracy (0.1%) was not verified due to limited testing.
