All natural
close to perfect quality megalodon teeth are often very expensive! Beware of too good to be true deals.
Land find teeth typically have excellent preservation of serrations and coloration can vary from layer to layer. The roots and gums sometimes have some degree of erosion or weathering. Often specimens are damaged at extraction or found in pieces or with other damage, erosion. Such damage is often covered up with glue and dirt, so one has to be suspicious of "perfect" looking teeth and sellers with "all natural" described specimens - as nowadays sold by many resellers! There are some repaired and restored indo megs described as all natural by some sellers, even when specimens are composited or roots heavily eroded or broken and the lobes or complete roots more carved out of the sandstone/limestone, than actually being the real root. This one has a real root!
