Royal Dux Czech Republic Bohemia Porcelain Nude Figurine on Stool with Flower (ADE)
Simple and elegant styling marks this nude of a young woman sitting on a burgundy stool while holding a single flower up to her face. This lovely piece is a combination of matte and gloss finishes on painted porcelain. The body of the girl is all matte while her hair, the stool and the flower are all gloss finishes. Measures approximatively 6 3/4" tall by 4" wide by 4" deep. Clean with no chips or cracks. There is a gold triangle sticker on the side of the stool and a raised pink triangle and a stamped number on the bottom of the piece. The markings are as follows:
Stamped triangle that reads HAND PAINTED MADE IN CZECH REPUBLIC ROYAL DUX BOHEMIA 1853
Raised pink triangle that reads ROYAL DUX BOHEMIA with a D in an acorn shape
Stamped 36 in purple
The markings on this piece date it to 1990 or later, after the factory returned to private ownership and Czechoslovakia was renamed the Czech Republic. There is no original box however we will double box it for safe shipment.
