    Description

    You are
bidding on a vintage General Radio 1307-A audio oscillator using a rare CK-721 transistor.
This vintage transistor audio oscillator came from the Hanford nuclear plant, acquired in 1971.  It produces a 400Hz or 1KHz audio tone using a CK-721 transistor and a germanium diode.  Like all GR equipment it's built like a tank (see photo 2).  Also included is the correct General Radio leather case (last photo).
This oscillator was designed to use a type E133 4.2 volt mercury battery, no longer available.  So this is untested.  It would probably be possible to operate this oscillator using three AAA batteries which in series would produce 4.5 volts.
